Vladigerov, Pancho

Pancho Vladigerov(1899-1978), Bulgarian composer, pianist and pedagogue. He played piano and composed music since early age. In 1910 the family moved to Sofia and he studied with Doris Hristov. In 1912 he went to Berlin and studied at the Hochschule fur Musik. After graduation he became the director at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. In 1932 he returned to Sofia and was appointed professor at the State Academy of Music. He composed one opera, ballet and symphonic music, 5 piano concertos, 2 violin concertos and chamber music.
