Vaughan Williams, Ralph

Ralph Vaughan Williams(1872-1958), English composer, educated at Cambridge and the Royal College of Music in London, and also studied in Paris. He became professor at the Royal College of Music. He visited US three times to conduct his works, also gave lectures at Bryn Mawr College, Cornell and Yale. He composed 8 symphonies, orchestral works, choral music and film scores.
